The team at Cotton Innovations Ltd offer our clients over 20 years the continuous improvement skill sets from setting and defining business strategy, through process improvement and process alignment and streamlining new product innovation, through the strategic deployment of the tools of Lean and Lean Sigma.


We also believe that the most effective transformation occurs when we are engaged in both 100% teaching and tutoring roles and 50-70% mentoring the clients. As they apply and imbed the tools for themselves and see the impact they can bring to their processes.

In taking this approach the impact for our clients have included:

Our Approach

Our approach is to view the business from the first contact with the Customer/Consumer through to the Despatch of service or product. As we often find that issues in the main process issues are driven by the supporting transactional operations and functions.

Based off our experience if a company is looking to create true transformation, it is necessary to link the three primary voices in the business together:

  • The Voice of the Customer – Quality, Time, Completeness
  • The Voice of Process – Efficiency, Capacity, Effectiveness and
  • The voice of the Business – Alignment to strategy, Targets and P&L

This is done with measuring the whole business through Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and stakeholder mapping, to see the process issues and alignment in the business, the stakeholder engagement, linkage to the business strategy and engagement of the workforce. In this way bespoke training, tutoring and mentoring programmes can be created so the selected delegates can be shown the skills and tools they need to transform their business.
